Today is Brian's Birthday! He is 5 years old now, and at risk for being transfered to an institution. We are praying for God to soften the hearts of those in charge at his orphanage, so that they will keep him until we are able to go get him. We know that God is in control no matter what happens. We are praying for God to Protect him, to keep him safe, while he waits for us. I wish I were there right now to hug him and tell him how much we love him. We are longing to bring him home and can't wait for the day we will tell him that we love him. This holiday season for my husband and I won't be the same, to have our little boy so far away is hard, we miss him. Next year Thanksgiving and Christmas will be so nice, to have our new blessing home with us! We do have our three children here, they all wish thier new little brother were here also.
We are trying to get all of this fundraising started....wow...easier said than done. God put this burden on our hearts to adopt...He then lead us to Brian, we know that God will make a way. I am not sure if all of these families that are there, traveling or getting ready to travel have raised all of the money they need, but they are getting thier children...Yay!! It has been a blessing to read all of these blogs...so many from Reece's Rainbow families, and to follow thier journeys, it has been an encouragement and a joy! We have been praying for these families. It has been amazing to see God at work for many of these families. Praise the Lord!!
We are still working on our first blog auction, I wanted to start it last week, but we are waiting on a couple of details, hopefully we will be starting it next week. We are also getting ready to start selling Lasangna to raise funds. We are working with a family from our church on a Nativity fundraiser...that should come together soon.
Thank you to Emily, Grace and Charrissa for being such a blessing and encouragement to me...they have been such dear friends to me...I love you all!! Also to Luba, thank you for all your help and encouragement.
Thank you also to my church family for all of your love, support and prayers, we love you all!! Well I have been busy getting things done for later today, I really need to get some rest. Please celebrate Brian's Birthday with us and pray for God to work in all of this for us. We know that our God is faithful and true and that we loves that little boy so much more than we could ever imagine. We thank God for using us to go get Brian and we desire to raise him up for God's glory!!
Have a Very Happy Thanksgiving!!
As our journey to adopt Max comes to an end, and a life with our new son begins, we will be slowly changing our blog over from an adoption blog to a family blog. We have decided to share our family moments, as we strive to serve the Lord.

Fundraising...to bring Little Brian home from E.E.
We are working hard on the paperwork for our Dossier, we are hoping to have our Dossier ready to mail the first week in February 2011. Between Paper chasing, Fundraising, Homeschooling, Taking care of our Home....and.....oh yeah....Thanksgiving and Christmas...well I am becoming one VERY busy lady! Things are going well, I have had so many people offer to help us, God is so good!! We are planning our first blog auction to start soon....We also have several other fundraisers in the works. I will post more about them later. We need to raise some of the funds for use now. I am going Friday to Olympia to get 12 documents apostilled...it will cost $200.00, worth every penny and so much more to bring that little man home! It will cost $100.00 to get 5 copies of our Marriage Certificate, there is definitely a need for some funds now.
The funds we raise from these first few fundraisers we will have for use on compiling our Dossier.
Most of the funds we need to raise will be for traveling to bring him home. We are praying for God's continued blessing in all of this, God is so good to us! We are so thankful that God chose us to be the ones to raise that precious young man, we don't take that lightly, we pray that God be glorified in all that we do!

The Whirlwind is about to Begin......
I feel like a marathon runner, waiting for the gun to go off and the race to begin. We have started our paper chase, but there are a few things that we can not do until the end of November. Our home study is going well, and we are working on our Dossier. I am still waiting for blog help....for Chip-ins and Buttons and a blog design. I know that those at RR who are able to help with all that, have been very busy.
I am not very good at this blog stuff, but I will try to post more often. I am still trying to figure this out. I will be working on posting pictures and things...so I can get this blog auction going.
We are so thankful for some dear friends of ours who are in Eastern Europe to bring home thier little ones Matthew and Ivanna, it has been such a joy to my heart to see all of thier pictures. I find myself dreaming of that day when we get to see our little Brian! God is so good!! Thank you to all who are "following" you are a blessing!
